Technical Field Services, Supervised Technical Crews & Technical Audit for Utility-Scale BESS

BN CORE GROUP operates on commissioning and operations & maintenance (O&M) projects for battery energy storage systems, through two complementary modes of intervention.

01 — Technical Field Services

On-site intervention on BESS sites

Our technicians intervene directly on site and take charge of the structured field execution — inspection, mechanical work and documentation — in accordance with your procedures, coordinating with the EPC, integrator or operator responsible for the overall project. This keeps your engineers and commissioning specialists focused on the tasks that require their specific expertise, while we absorb the field workload and escalate technical anomalies to the right specialist when needed.

Areas of intervention

  • Field Support: assistance with inspection, wiring, and functional/performance testing of PCS, BMS and EMS systems, under the supervision of the responsible commissioning engineers.
  • Mechanical installation and assembly, including fastener torque checks and ventilation component verification.
  • Oil and diagnostic sample collection on cooling and transformer components.
  • O&M: preventive and corrective maintenance, on-site performance monitoring.
  • Structural repair of BESS containers: welding, corrosion treatment, exterior enclosure restoration.
  • Delivery/receiving inspection of BESS equipment: visual condition check, damage assessment and photographic documentation on arrival, before repair or installation.
  • Logistics and material handling support during site operations.
  • Technical assistance during commissioning and acceptance phases.
  • Application of safety procedures and manufacturer standards in force on site.

On container repair specifically: welding and straightening of framing and panels, corrosion treatment and repainting of the exterior enclosure, and diagnosis of auxiliary equipment (cooling, lighting, locking, access) — carried out as part of the same field intervention when the container's structure requires it.

Scope of corrective work: any correction or repair is carried out only within the scope agreed with you, and following your validation of the anomalies reported during inspection. BN CORE GROUP documents technical findings for your decision; it does not warrant the overall readiness of the BESS installation beyond the interventions explicitly entrusted to us.

Field intervention method

Your specialists focus on what needs their expertise; we absorb the field workload

1. Reception

Incoming equipment is received on site according to your procedures.

2. Inspection & documentation

Checklist-based inspection, visual checks and photographic documentation of every unit.

3. Reporting

You receive a clear report: which units, which anomalies, with supporting evidence.

4. Decision & correction

You decide what needs to be corrected and by whom. When it falls within our scope and is validated by you, we carry it out — your specialists then focus on the tasks that require their specific expertise.

In practice: a single mission can mean installing several dozen components across as many units, collecting documented technical samples on each one, and handing over a signed report — without a single engineer from the client's team having to be on site for that part of the work.

What we deploy

  • Qualified technicians for commissioning or O&M missions.
  • Short-term or extended reinforcement, depending on the project's duration and workload.
  • A BN CORE team leader on site: our crew is organised and directed by BN CORE, within your site safety rules.
  • Administrative coordination of the deployment (mobilization, logistics, contract follow-up).
02 — Supervised Technical Crews

Qualified technical crews, led by BN CORE on your project

When your commissioning or O&M project needs more hands, BN CORE GROUP sends a qualified crew with its own team leader to carry out a defined scope of work — tasks, deliverables and duration agreed in writing. You set the technical requirements and site safety rules; BN CORE organises and directs its crew and answers for the result.

Deployment method

A five-step approach

Needs qualification

Analysis of the project, required skills and site context with the client.

Selection & mobilization

Identification of qualified technicians and logistical organization of the deployment.

On-site intervention

Execution of the agreed scope by our crew, directed by our team leader, in compliance with your site safety procedures.

Reporting & closure

Mission follow-up and reports transmitted to the client.

Digital coordination

Mission tracking via our own application: schedules and checklists for our field teams, real-time oversight for management, and secure client access opened after contract signature.

Also available

Technical Audit

Beyond field intervention and supervised technical crews, BN CORE GROUP also carries out independent technical audits of existing BESS installations — ahead of an acquisition, a refinancing, or a management handover. Tell us about your specific need.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is BESS Technical Field Services?

Technical Field Services means our technicians intervene directly on your BESS site to carry out structured field work — inspection, mechanical assembly, documentation — according to your procedures, coordinating with your EPC, integrator or operator. It lets your specialists focus on the tasks that need their specific expertise.

Can you support commissioning of PCS, BMS and EMS systems?

Yes. Our Field Support offering covers assistance with inspection, wiring, and functional/performance testing of PCS, BMS and EMS systems, under the supervision of the responsible commissioning engineers.

Can you inspect and repair BESS containers damaged in transit?

Yes. We carry out delivery/receiving inspections with photographic documentation, and structural repair (welding, corrosion treatment, enclosure restoration) when the correction falls within our scope and is validated by you.

What's the difference between Technical Field Services and Supervised Technical Crews?

Technical Field Services means we take charge of a complete field task and deliver its result. Supervised Technical Crews means a BN CORE crew reinforces your project on a defined scope of work, alongside your teams. In both cases our technicians stay under BN CORE's authority, led by a BN CORE team leader.

Which countries does BN CORE GROUP cover?

We currently deploy technical teams on BESS projects in Spain, Portugal, France, the Benelux and Eastern Europe, with further European expansion underway.

Does BN CORE GROUP guarantee the BESS installation is fully ready after your intervention?

No — we work under a clearly stated obligation of means, not of result. We measure, document and report every anomaly for your decision; we do not warrant the overall readiness of the installation beyond the interventions explicitly entrusted to us.

What does a BN CORE GROUP Technical Audit include?

An independent technical audit of an existing BESS installation, typically requested ahead of an acquisition, a refinancing, or a management handover.
